GOP bus in Powell Monday

Leading up to Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 2, Republican leaders and candidates are touring Wyoming with the GOP's “Leading the Charge to Victory” bus tour.The bus stops at Plaza Diane in Powell at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25.

Local Republican candidates will attend the event, and statewide and national leaders also will be featured, said Ryan Taylor, executive director of the Wyoming Republican Party.

Residents will have the opportunity to visit with Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso, U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis, GOP gubernatorial nominee Matt Mead, Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield, state auditor candidate Cynthia Cloud, Treasurer Joe Meyer and superintendent of public instruction candidate Cindy Hill.

GOP candidates and leaders each will speak for a few minutes, then residents will have an opportunity to speak with them, Taylor said.

From Powell, the tour stops at 6 p.m. at the Irma Hotel in Cody.The statewide tour kicks off this weekend with events in Cheyenne and Casper.
