Aliyah Marie Romero was born July 13, 2009 in Powell, the daughter of Katie VanLake and David Romero. She died, surrounded by family and loved ones, on Aug. 12 from Edward's Syndrome. Though she was only alive for a short time, she will be missed greatly.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Jack VanLake, and her great-grandparents Felipe and Josefa Montanez.
She is survived by her parents; a sister, Alyssa; grandparents Bill and Lori VanLake and Albert and Carol Romero; great-grandparents Shirley VanLake and Bill and Bonnie Fossen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell. Graveside services were held Aug. 17 at the Lovell Cemetery. The family has asked that donations be made at First National Bank in memory of Aliyah Marie VanLake Romero.
