Arla Dean Muller Sessions died, with her family at her bedside, on July 4 in Provo, Utah, after complications from surgery.

She was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Frannie, the second daughter of Arthur and Hallie Muller. Her siblings included Mary Ellen, who died as a baby, and three brothers: Orin, Dennis, and Craig. She graduated from schools in Deaver.

On July 6, 1951, she married the love of her life, Corman J. Sessions of Byron. Together they had five children: Shelly Sessions Carter of American Fork, Utah; Todd (Connie) of Las Vegas; Tracy (Sherry) of Gillette; Coty; and Brook of Riverton, Utah.

The Sessions family lived in Lovell for many years, and after Corman died in 1969, Arla and the three younger children moved to Billings where she attended Billings Business College and worked at St. Vincent Hospital in emergency admissions.

Arla and her youngest, Brook, later moved to Powell to be closer to her parents. After her parents died, they moved to Orem, Utah, to be closer to daughter Shelly's family. When Brook went to college, Arla moved to Gillette to enjoy time with her son Tracy's family and to work at the hospital there. She later returned to Orem, where she resided until her death.

Arla retired from Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo following 20 years of employment.

She was active in many community organizations in Lovell while she raised her children, and she served as the Lovell Women's Club President and the PTA President. She built lasting friendships in the community. She loved to sew, entertain friends and family, read and attend sporting events. Her happiest moments were spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Coty; her parents; and two brothers, Craig and Orin.

She is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held July 11 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lovell. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery under the direction of Haskell's Funeral Home.
