(June 17, 1919 - June 27, 2009)Longtime Park County resident Mabel Roemmich, 90, died June 27 in Cody. She was born June 17, 1919 in Keota-Rural, Colo. to Fred and Karolina (Sauer) Reichel. After moving to Wyoming, her family farmed in the Garland area.In 1937, while living and working in Powell, Mabel met Henry Roemmich. They were married Nov. 20, 1938, in Billings. Henry and Mabel had three children: Harlen, Shirley and Sandra. In August 2008, after nearly 70 years of marriage, Mabel's husband, Henry, died. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.Mabel is survived by her son, Harlen Roemmich of Powell; two daughters, Shirley Roemmich and Sandy Beier, both of Cody; a sister, Hannah Fink (Albert) of Lovell; a step-sister; two step-brothers; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.Services will be at Grace Baptist Church on Thursday, July 2 at 10 a.m. Memorials in Mabel's name may be made to Spirit Mountain Hospice, 707 Sheridan Ave., Cody.

She was born June 17, 1919 in Keota-Rural, Colo. to Fred and Karolina (Sauer) Reichel. After moving to Wyoming, her family farmed in the Garland area.

In 1937, while living and working in Powell, Mabel met Henry Roemmich. They were married Nov. 20, 1938, in Billings. Henry and Mabel had three children: Harlen, Shirley and Sandra.

In August 2008, after nearly 70 years of marriage, Mabel's husband, Henry, died. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.

Mabel is survived by her son, Harlen Roemmich of Powell; two daughters, Shirley Roemmich and Sandy Beier, both of Cody; a sister, Hannah Fink (Albert) of Lovell; a step-sister; two step-brothers; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
