Powell photographer wins in two categories
A Powell photographer won two categories in the Wyoming Business Council Agribusiness Division’s eighth annual Ag Photo Contest.
Stacey Atkinson of Powell won the Crops category for her photo titled ’Til Spring Arrives. Atkinson also won the Best Edit category for her photo Industrial Fall, the Business Council announced last week.
Todd Werbelow of Greybull won the grand prize with his photo of cows gathered under a bare tree and silhouetted beneath clouds tinted gold, purple, pink and orange by the morning sun.
“These photos showcase Wyoming’s strong agricultural heritage,” said Cody Ann Bainter, ag marketing and leadership coordinator for the Business Council.
In all, 67 people submitted 671 photos for the contest, and Business Council staff put the images through three rounds of judging. Werbelow won $300 for the grand prize, and category winners netted $150 per category.
The images will be featured in a desktop calendar, which can be downloaded at www.wyophotocontest.com.
