Get out your orange and black: It’s time for Homecoming at Powell High School.
Powell Panthers of all ages will celebrate the week with a variety of events, culminating with Friday night’s football game when the Panthers take on the Green River Wolves at 7 p.m.
The Panthers kicked off Homecoming events on Monday night with buff puff volleyball.
• Tonight (Tuesday): Students will go head to head in a dodgeball tournament at 7:30 p.m. at the PHS Gym.
• Wednesday evening: Students will compete in the annual Homecoming Olympics, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Homesteader Park softball complex.
• Thursday: The Panther volleyball teams will host Worland at the PHS Gym, with the first set of competition starting at 4 p.m. Cross Country athletes head to Worland that afternoon, and PHS swimmers will compete in Cody.
• Friday: Panthers will have a pep assembly in the gym at 11 a.m. The annual Homecoming Parade begins at 3:30 p.m. in downtown Powell, followed by the football game at 7 p.m.
Also on Friday, PHS tennis players will head to the regional tournament in Casper, while Panther golfers compete at state in Torrington.
Panthers will finish the week with the Homecoming Dance at 9 p.m. at the PHS Commons.
