Well, it is November.
The warm fall that we have enjoyed will vanish soon, as the National Weather Service forecast calls for “an abrupt change” and for temperatures to dip well below freezing Monday through Saturday. While the daily highs will be in the 20s, 30s and even low 40s, the low is predicted to be in single digits Tuesday and Wednesday, with a forecast low of 3 on Tuesday.
In addition, snow is possible Monday and Tuesday. Winds that will pick up steam Sunday afternoon and evening will escort in the colder weather, along with the chance of snow.
The cold snap arrives after an unusually warm October and a pleasant start to November. Winter is still weeks away from arriving, but the Powell area will get a taste of it next week.
