A black bear in a tree east of the Park County Annex building Thursday morning prompted a gathering of law enforcement and Wyoming Game & Fish officers as well as several onlookers.
Game & Fish employees used a dart gun to tranquilize the young male bear. After it fell onto a mat placed on the ground, they performed a quick assessment of his condition. Once that was done, three children took the rare opportunity to touch the bear as it lay tranquilized.
