Memorial services were conducted Saturday at United Methodist Church for Charles
Keith Kelly, 84, who died Wednesday, June 1 in Powell.
He was born may 13, 1921, in Montrose, Colo., son of Charles Henry Kelly and
Florence I. (Fuller) Kelly. He graduated from high school in Montrose and served
in the U.S. Army as a control tower operator, receiving his honorable discharge
Nov. 10, 1945. He married Glennis Ann Everott in Ridgway, Colo., on March 10,
1949.
From Colorado, he moved to Powell in 1957. He was shop foreman for Pure Grow.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, VFW and the American Legion.
He enjoyed fly fishing and rebuilding bamboo fly rods.
Survivors include a son, Ron (Susan) Kelly of Casper; three daughters, Glenda
(Darrell) Brabec of Colstrip, Mont., Debbie Kelly (David McKinney) of Powell
and Lynn (Michael) Wood of Missoula, Mont.; a sister, June Harris of Montrose;
six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glennis; twin sons, Gerry
Glen and Jerry Charles; two brothers and four sisters.
Pastor Susan Adams Trembath presided at services and burial of cremains in
Crown Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harley Bright, Lynn Fross, Merlin Borcher,
Jim Kelly, Blase Ibarra and Al Williams.
Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
James Matthew Redner - June 2, 2005
James Matthew (Bubba) Redner, 41, died Thursday, June 2 at his home in Billings,
Mont.
He was born Feb. 2, 1964 to Kathy and James Redner, Sr. He had a passion for
life, loved golfing, riding bikes, bowling, and playing video games. Bubba
was a sports enthusiast; he loved the Pirates, Celtics, and the Buffalo Bills,
plus the WWF. Coaching Little League for many years expressed his compassion
for the game, the kids, and his community. A goal of his in life was to always
do what he could to be one step ahead of his brother, Todd.
He was also the type of person that would do anything for a friend and they
would do the same for him.
Holidays were the event for Bubba. He would start his shopping in the summer,
then search for months for all the right decorations to express his love for
the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween. He would make these great
cinnamon rolls that would melt in your mouth and spend weeks decorating his
home. It was always the warmest place to be on the coldest of days. He will
be missed tremendously by friends and family.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather Kathy and Rod Reynolds of Powell;
his brothers, Todd Redner, Adam Redner, Michael Redner; his sister, Tanya Flowers
of Billings; nephews Jack, Zack, Michael, Todd Jr, Dallas, Trey, Kaleb, and
Ethan; and nieces Ashley and Kaileigh; and also his best friend and love, Karla.
For those who wish, the family would appreciate a donation to the American
Cancer Society.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday June 9, at the Cremation
Gallery, 29 8th Street West, Billings, at 1 p.m. Dress code is sports
memorabilia in his honor. Reception following at Par 3; there will be golfing
in his honor for those who wish to participate.
Mary C. Uttenhove - June 3, 2005
Memorial services were held Monday, June 6 in Ipswich, S.D., for Mary C. (Baer)
Uttenhove, former Powell resident, who died Friday, June 3 at the Beverly Health
Care Center in Ipswich.
Father Tom Clement officiated at services. Private burial will be held later.
Mary’s wishes were to be cremated.
She was born in Ipswich, S.D. on Feb. 5, 1924, to Leo J. Baer and Theresa (Schmidt)
Baer. She was a triplet, one of 10 children. She attended school in Ipswich
where she met Arthur Uttenhove. They were married Nov. 21, 1941, at Holy Cross
Church in Ipswich.
They lived on Art’s family farm near Mina, S.D., for a number of years.
They eventually sold the farm and lived in Ipswich and then in Rapid City,
S.D. for a short time. During this time, four children were born.
They moved back to Ipswich in 1951 and then to Powell in 1957. They returned
to Ipswich in 2000 and moved into the Beverly Health Care Center together.
During her lifetime, Mary held many jobs. She worked as a painter, a waitress,
a bartender, and in her later years, she worked at the Powel Tribune mailroom.
She operated Granny’s Babysitting Service for 15 years with the help
of her husband, caring for over 100 children through the years. She and Art
also became foster parents in Wyoming. She was also a 4-H leader in Ipswich
and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She loved yard sales, collecting, eating Art’s garden vegetables, doing
search-a-word puzzles and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include her husband Art; two sons, Jim (Diane) Uttenhove of Ipswich
and Terry (Linda) Uttenhove of Douglas; a daugher, Mary K. (Wayne) Erickson
of Jena, La.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sebastian
(Ruth) Baer of Hot Springs, S.D., and Leo (Shirley) Baer of Vaughn, Mont.;
two sisters, Ann Binfet of Leola, S.D., and Rosina Greenlee of Rushville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stan Baer and Peter Baer; four sisters,
Catherine Semmler and Elizabeth Baer (her triplets), Josephine Cihak and Veronica
Gisi; a baby daughter, Patricia, and a grandson, Robert Uttenhove.
Sasha Pitcairn Rose - June 5, 2005
Sasha Pitcairn Rose was stillborn on Sunday, June 5.
Said his parents, “Sasha’s lungs never tasted air, and he never
saw the beautiful Wyoming sky. He brought us joy we never knew existed, and
we will hold him in ours hearts forever.”
Survivors include his parents, Andrew F. and Stephanie L. Rose of Powell; his
grandparents, David and Doris Rittmann of Shanghai, China; grandfather Vince
Rose of Powell; grandmother, Lucinda Pitcairn of Eugene, Ore.; uncle David
Rose of Powell; uncle Mark Rittmann of San Francisco, Calif.; aunt Susan Rose
of Delaware, Ohio; aunt Rebecca Tipton of Denver; aunt Sarah Rittmann of Portland,
Ore.; and several cousins.
For those who wish, memorial contributions to Habitat for Humanity would be
appreciated by the family.
Barbara (Bobbi) Barrows, beloved wife of Gordon Barrows of Ralston for 37
years, died peacefully in New York City Tuesday, June 7 from complications
of heart disease. She was 73.
She was born Barbara Martin in Philadelphia, Pa., on Jan. 30, 1932. After a
successful career as a model and textile designer, she married Gordon Barrows
in 1968. The couple maintained residences in New York City and Ralston.
She was an active supporter of classical arts in New York City and a member
of the City Gardens Club. Her joys were opera, oil painting, gardening and
travel abroad with her husband.
She is survived by her husband; a brother; nephews and niece.
Bobbi Barrows was remembered in Powell as “an Eastern girl who loved
the West.”
Esther Brumage, a friend of many years, said, “She was a very lovely
person. She was very well educated. She loved to travel. She was a very kind
person, very helpful. She thought about other people a lot.”
A memorial service will be held in Powell at a date to be announced.
Kevin Worth Redman - June 8, 2005
Funeral services for Kevin Worth Redman, 35, who died Wednesday, June 8 in
Powell, were held Monday, June 13 at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1970, in Riverton to Larry and Gail Redman. He received
his Associate’s degree from Sheridan College and went on to earn a bachelor’s
degree in Criminal Justice at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebr.
He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors. He also loved
music and playing the guitar and was a great Denver Broncos football fan.
More than anything, Kevin loved his family and spending time with his kids.
He was a kind, gentle and wonderful son, brother, father and uncle. He was
the type of person who would drop anything he was doing to lend a helping hand
to family or friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor— a real practical
joker. His family and friends are going to miss his kind heart, his love, his
smiles and his laughter.
Survivors include his parents, Larry and Gail Redman of Powell; his two daughters,
Alexandria Redman and Mikayla Redman of Longview, Wash.; his two sons, Noah
Redman of Longview, Wash., and Jacob Redman of Powell; his three sisters, Kristie
Kennedy, Tracey Guinard and Julie Ley, all of Powell; his grandparents, Billie
and Fred Camposan of Powell; and his grandmother, Lenora Redman of Story, as
well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chay Redman, and his grandfather,
Worth Redman of Story.
Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mary L. Hubbell - June 10, 2005
Funeral services for long-time Basin resident Mary L. Hubbell, 99, will be
conducted today (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. at the Mount View Cemetery in Basin. She
died Friday morning, June 10 at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin.
The Rev. Jack Preston will officiate at services, with military rites performed
by the American Legion.
She was born in Basin Sept. 13, 1905, the daughter of Myrtle Barrett and Roy
White. She received her schooling in Basin, graduating in 1924.
She worked and traveled until she joined the U.S. Army as a WAC. She served
on active duty for three years and seven months and was honorably discharged
as a sergeant. She served in the Army Reserves until her retirement in 1957.
She went to beauty school and opened Mary’s Beauty Shop in Basin in 1950,
operating it until 1971.
Gardening was a favorite avocation, and she shared produce of her vegetable
garden with many. She also made and gave away quilts and lap robes. Mary did
the carpentry work in her home.
In 1994, she entered the Wyoming Retirement Cetner. Her independent spirit,
fierce pride and determination kept her going despite poor health.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert (Kay) Cummings of Great Falls, Mont.,
and Guy (Bessie) Cummings of Powell; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lee (Ellen) Cummings
of Basin and Mrs. Jim (Dixie) Cummings of Greybull; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Alberta and Ruth, and
two brothers, Lee and Jim.

Graveside memorial services are scheduled Saturday, June 18 at 10 a.m. at
the Burlington Cemetery for Dorine Blank, 87, who died Jan. 10, 2005 at her
home in Lovell.
She was born April 3, 1917, and spent most of her life in the Big Horn Basin.
She married Elmer Blank on May 1, 1937. He preceded her in death, as did an
infant son, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
She is survived by her son, Neale Blank of Powell; daughter Lana (Bud) Morris
of Cowley; and several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday, June 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Hope
Lutheran Church in Powell for Vicky Jo Sanders, 55, of Ralston, who died at
her home Sunday, June 12, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Vicky was born Sept. 15, 1949, in Cody, the daughter of Robert C. and Jacquelin
Kelso. She graduated from Cody High School, attended Northwest College in Powell,
and also Weaver Airline Personnel School in Kansas City, Mo.
She married Eldon E. Sanders in Powel on Sept. 9, 1970, and resided in Ralston
for nearly 30 years prior to her death. She worked at Powell Hospital and for
the past 11 years as a receptionist/file clerk for Dr. Charles Jamieson in
Cody.
She is survived by her husband, Eldon E. Sanders of Ralston; two sons and their
wives, Ray and Jeanie Sanders, and Jim and Chris Sanders of Powell; a daughter,
Patty Trangsrud and her husband Larry, of Billings, Mont.; eight grandchildren;
her mother, Jacquelin Kelso of Cody; one brother and his wife, Robert (Skip)
and Becky Kelso of Cody; three sisters, Linda Davenport and her husband Richard
of Rock Springs; Denise Jolovich of Georgia; and Earline (Janie) Kanholz and
her husband Jim of Cody.
Vicky was preceded in death by her son, Sam Sanders, and her father, Robert
Kelso.
Vicky enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling and four-wheeling, spending time with
her family, gardening, and collecting angels.
Cremation has taken place. Pastor Clyde Seifert will officiate at memorial
services.

1025 9th St., Ste. B, Cody, WY 82414. Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge
of arrangements.
Toni McMaster, 52, ended her stubborn seven-year fight with brain cancer on
June 16, 2005 at home surrounded by her family.
Her family will remember she loved the important things in life — God,
family, friends, pets and, of course, butterflies.
McMaster was born September 8, 1952 in Casper to Stanley Smith and Phillis
(Sweet) Smith. They preceded her in death in 1966 and 1967, and Toni was raised
in Powell by an aunt and uncle. She graduated from Powell high School and later
from a business college in Billings, Mont.
She and Johno C. McMaster were married in Helena, Mont. on June 3, 1974. She
was last employed by the State of Montana in the Department of Public Health
and Human Services as an accounting technician in the Fiscal Bureau in Helena.
Her hobbies included sewing, embroidery, and quilting.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-nine years, Johno C. McMaster of East
Helena; a son, Shaun J. McMaster of Helena; a daughter, Shanon L. McMaster
of East Helena; and granddaughter, Kaila S. McMaster of Dublin, California.
Other survivors include sisters, Shirley Scoonover of Cornelius, Ore., Marilyn
Lockrem of Sacramento, Calif., Sonya Whitmore of Powell and Kathie Fischer
of Morgan Hill, Calif.; brothers, Stanley Smith and Kenneth Smith, both of
Colorado.
In lieu of a service, Toni’s wishes were for her family and friends to
spend that time together. Her family prefers memorials in Toni’s name
to Lost and Foundation, 517 Knight Street, Helena, MT 59601, or to the Cancer
Treatment Center of St. Peter’s Hospital, 2475 Broadway, Helena, MT 59601.

Virginia Evans Schrader - June 26, 2005
Virginia Evans Schrader, 73, of Bay Point retirement village in Panama City,
Fla., died Sunday, June 26 at her home, with her husband and children by her
side.
Born in Powell, she attended Park College in Missouri, where she met her husband
of 54 years, Robert G. Schrader. They have been associated with Bay Point for
25 years and moved there 15 years ago when her husband retired.
Affectionately known as “Ginny,” she shared her talents and abilities
in many groups and organizations. She sang in church choirs, Sweet Adelines,
and was active in choral and symphony societies in Wyoming, Kentucky, and Panama
City.
She was Past Grand Guardian of Job’s Daughters in Wyoming. She was an
active member of P.E.O, and a member and past president of the Bay Point Women’s
Club. She was previously employed as a bank officer and a hospital public information
officer in Cheyenne.
If something needed to be done in the community, she was always the cheerleader
and motivator and inspired others so that it was accomplished. She was loved
by everyone who met her because of her caring nature, vibrant personality,
energy, and enthusiastic love of life.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; three children, Robert M. Schrader
and wife Paula of Crestview, Fla.; Andrew G. Schrader of Panama City, Fla.;
and Amy Ann Ball and husband Charlie of Lexington, Ky.; and six grandchildren,
James Schrader, Julia Schrader, and Jesse Schrader of Crestview, Fla.; Jennifer
Schrader Metz of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; Sharon Ball and Chaussy Ball of Lexington,
Ky.; and her sister, Jane Taube in Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Melvin Evans and Agnes Evans
Brower; and her brother, Jesse Melvin (Jock) Evans Jr.
A “Celebration of Life” memorial was held on the Bay Point Yacht
Club grounds Wednesday, June 29. Rev. Jim Stansbury of the Gulf Beach Presbyterian
Church officiated. For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations
