on “the old Harry Tiberand place.” They made many longtime friends
and shared many memorable times with neighbors in ever day ranch life experience.
When Hallman sold the ranch and purchased another in Cora, Wyo., north of Pinedale,
they moved there to manage the Black Butte Ranch for him. When Hallman sold
out of the ranching business a few years later, they moved to Idaho Falls,
Idaho and managed an apartment complex for a number of years.

One of her favorite things to do was to plant flowers and do her yard work.

Christopher G. Badura - July 21, 2005
The life of Christopher G. Badura, 27, will be celebrated with a sharing of
memories Friday, July 29 at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Laurel,
Mont.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated the next morning at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony,
with a luncheon to follow in the hall. Scattering of ashes will be Sunday at
the Badura Ranch in the Clark area.
Christopher Badura died Thursday, July 21 while attempting to swim the Clark’s
Fork River near the Wyoming- Montana state line south of Belfry.
He was born in Powell on March 8, 1978, to B. Carol and Daniel M. Badura of
Clark. He came early and had trouble breathing. A few years later it became
apparent that he was developmentally delayed.
He was special in more ways than one. He had a tender heart and was easily
hurt. He was so generous he often had to come home to ask for more money because
he gave it to someone else. He also had a hair trigger temper that exploded
easily, but he was always sorry for it afterwards and he made up for it in
so many ways.
He was a great helper in the yard, garden and in the home in Laurel, and to
his brother, Mark, at the ranch in Clark. His family members will remember
the many friends and neighbors in the several towns in which they lived who
helped to raise Chris. It really does take a village to raise a child.
He started school in Belfry, then attended schools in Powell, Red Lodge and
finally Laurel where he graduated in 1998. He made his Cursillo weekend in
1999. The men of the church had taken him under their wings many years earlier,
and this made him an “official” part of the Men’s Cursillo
Groups. He often went to one of the “big guys” for advice. Whenever
he saw cars at the church, he would stop to check it out. He knew he was always
welcome there.
More than anything, he wanted to be a cowboy. He grew up watching old westerns
on TV with his mother, and he loved country western music. He liked to go to
the Horse Palace where they would let him help out with things. In recent years,
he stayed more often at the Badura Ranch in Clark, run by big brother, Mark.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Badura of Laurel, Mont.; his father, Daniel
Badura of Powell; his brothers, Mark (Beau) Badura and Joseph Badura; his sister,
Kimberly (Jason) with nieces Gracie and Katie; and his grandmother, Shirley
Seppia of Laurel. He leaves many aunts and uncles and cousins. He was especially
close to John and Danette Curfman, their daughter, Magic, and her children,
Johnathan and Rya, and all their other family members who were big in his life
of fishing and camping. They were the additional grandparents, siblings, aunts
and uncles and cousins in all the big events in his life.
Memorials may be sent to the Clark’s Fork Volunteer Fire Department,
Box 28, Powell, Wy 82435.

everyone he saw.

of Powell; his daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Tom) Hink of Casper, Judith Diane
Brown of Powell and Rebecca Lynn (Mike) Holland of Rio Rancho, N.M.; seven

Avenue, Greybull, WY 82426 to go to the Powell Valley Hospice or to a charity
of choice.
