The aftermath of Mike Heny’s termination as head coach of the Powell High School boys’ basketball team left the Powell school board short-handed, the public to speculate, and a former public official seeking answers.

On April 19, six weeks after his Powell Panthers narrowly missed out on hoisting a state championship trophy, Powell High School head basketball coach Mike Heny was informed he would not be returning to his position.
He could step down voluntarily, or be shown the door.

Male lead Josiah Hogan said he expects this show to be more accessible than “Diviners” and better received by the community.

Powell Middle School design nears completion
Decision makers got a glimpse into Powell Middle School’s future during Tuesday night’s Park County School District No. 1 board meeting.
Members of CTA Architects and Engineers took Powell board members and school administrators on a virtual tour of the design for phase two of Powell Middle School’s expansion and renovation.
Make-A-Wish at PHS Friday
The generosity of a community can help grant an ill Powell child’s wish Friday night at Powell High School.
A Make-A-Wish Foundation spaghetti dinner will be held in the school’s common area at 5:30 p.m., with a live auction to follow in the school’s gym at 7 p.m. All proceeds will go towards fulfilling the wish of an anonymous Powell child facing a life-threatening medical condition.
