Pedestrians slipping or tripping on icy sidewalks around town should know that snow removal responsibility lies with the property owner. The city of Powell will remove snow and ice on downtown sidewalks if it can, but street snow and ice removal takes precedence.

Powell High School boys’ swim team easily overcame Buffalo Friday, but swam upstream to land 10th out of 18 teams at Saturday’s invitational in Gillette.

Yellowstone to do plowing

Odds are Yellowstone National Park’s East Entrance will open on schedule this spring without snow removal assistance from locals, as happened in 2013.

The water table is just below the surface in Powell, and it’s causing soggy basements.

So far, so good, as winter snow accumulates and area reservoirs draw snow runoff.

The Powell High School boys’ swim team fell to its Worland guests Tuesday afternoon in a closely contested dual.

The final score was Worland 93, Powell 87.

The Powell High School boys’ swim team beat Cody High School nicely on Cody’s home ground Friday, with a final score of Powell 99 to Cody’s 69.
