The Powell High School volleyball team reached the 3A state semifinals before being sent to the consolation bracket and placing fourth overall this weekend in Casper.

The Powell High School swim team took 13 swimmers to the state meet in Gillette, with two making their final heats and the team finishing sixth overall with a score of 96.

The Powell High School volleyball team will begin its quest for a 3A state championship tonight (Thursday) in Casper.
The Panthers (5-1, 16-9) are seeded second in the 3A West division and will face Rawlins (3-7, 15-18), the third-seeded team in the 3A East division.

Park County School District No. 1 underwent an organizational assessment last week that aimed to measure the strengths and weaknesses of Powell’s school system.
The assessment, done by Krenek Consulting (which also provided this same service in 2009), included visits to the schools, a forum of Powell community members and a report to the district on its findings.
