Even though I work at the Tribune, I’m not quite sure what that question is really asking.

Panthers let leads slip away during frustrating weekend

What could have been? This is what many players of the Powell High School volleyball team asked themselves following their final match at the 3A conference duals in Cody this weekend.

Despite ending on a positive note — a 3-0 defeat of Mountain View — the Panthers felt their results didn’t match their potential.

Panther volleyball Team gets season sweep of Fillies

The Powell High School volleyball team finished regular season division play on a strong but uncertain note.

The Panthers beat Cody at home in four sets, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19.

The Powell High School volleyball team’s 3-1 victory over 2A Shoshoni Monday night was not as easy as the stat sheet might indicate.

The Lady Blue (3-0, 14-2) stunned Powell out of the gate by taking the first set 25-16. The Panthers looked sloppy as Shoshoni cruised to an opening set victory.

For the second time in 11 days the Powell High School swim team beat Cody High School, and for the first time in three years, diver Hannah Sweet qualified for state.

How is this an issue in 2012 America?

I read a news story this weekend that made me sick, which is no easy feat in the 24-hour murder/rape/war news cycle we live in.

PHS students take on taxidermy challenge

Art students at Powell High School could smell a rare opportunity as they walked in to school Tuesday morning.

The male grizzly bear euthanized on the east side of Heart Mountain Sept. 7 was waiting for them in James Gilman's classroom at the back of the school.

 

Parkside recognized by U.S. Department of Education

Parkside Elementary has been recognized as a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education, one of only three schools in the state to earn the honor.

The high school athletics season is underway, and for me, that means my first taste of professional sports coverage.

Not that I’m covering professional sports, but I’m covering sports as a professional. Baby steps.
