Panthers place tourney-high eight wrestlers in top six 

The PHS wrestling squad bested 24 schools from Montana and North Dakota to take second place at the Miles City Invite over the weekend.

The NWC women’s basketball team’s longest win streak in a decade was halted at 10 games on Saturday.

The Northwest College men’s basketball team found itself tied for last place in the Region IX North Division after dropping two conference games last week.

The NWC men’s basketball team staved off an unthinkable Central Wyoming comeback to win its first game of the new year 60-55 Wednesday night at Cabre Gym.

Their 10-game win streak was snapped Saturday, but the Northwest women stopped a potential losing streak before it started by beating Central Wyoming 59-46 Wednesday night.

Star wrestler lost for season

Consecutive pins all but finished the Northwest College wrestling team in the final dual of the NWCA National Duals in Des Moines, Iowa, over the weekend.

The Northwest College wrestling team’s loss of Jeff McCormick was a surprise blow to both the team’s lineup and morale.

I'll tell you this: 2-0 feels a lot better than 0-2. The Seahawks and Patriots won with relative ease Saturday to move on to next week's conference championship games. That's all fine and dandy, but avoiding a losing record in my 1-man pick-em contest won't keep my head held very high if Sunday takes a dark turn.

If last weekend was any indicator, I am not great at predicting the outcomes at football games.
