Kaylin Olivas, girls’ director of the Wyoming Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, has been named interim head women’s soccer coach at Northwest College. The Trappers reported to campus today (Tuesday) to begin preparations for their second season on the pitch.

The last baseball team playing in Powell this summer was also the youngest baseball team playing. The Powell All-Stars 9-10 year-old team dropped a pair of games in Gillette to finish fourth in state during tournament play this week.

Professional tennis instructor Jon Park in town Aug. 11-12

Powell High School graduate and former collegiate tennis player Jon Park will return to Powell on Aug. 11-12 to conduct a tennis clinic in his former home community. Park is now a teaching professional in The Woodlands, Texas.

There will be a new Class A champion in American Legion baseball this summer after the Powell Pioneers saw their season come to an unexpected early ending over the weekend in Gillette. The Pioneers managed just one win in three games and failed to advance to this week’s state tournament.

There will be a new Class A champion in American Legion baseball this summer after the Powell Pioneers saw their season come to an unexpected early ending over the weekend in Gillette. The Pioneers managed just one win in three games and failed to advance to this week’s state tournament.

Three members of the Powell Pioneers American Legion baseball team were named to the North all-district baseball team on Monday. Tyler England, Josh Cragoe and Seth Gilmore each were honored with inclusion on the team.
