Friends are rallying to support a Powell man who suffered a traumatic brain injury in January.

A fundraiser is set for Friday for Ryan Gutierrez, a 31-year-old Powell resident. He was injured in a fight at LaVina Package Liquors in Powell on Jan. 19, according to Powell police.

Powell veterinarian warns of problems that may be spread by wolves

A nasty tapeworm found in Alaskan wolves has turned up in Park County and has infected multiple elk and four dogs, according to a Powell veterinarian.

A chunk of concrete at the airport’s new terminal/snow removal equipment building will get the heave-ho this spring.

The dart swatted the bighorn sheep ewe square on the rump, making her a winner of sorts.

Crawling around in the dark is something most people don’t practice. But firefighters take it seriously, since their safety and lives are at stake during a fire.

For the first time in more than 20 years, the Powell High School boys’ swim team seized second at the 3A state meet in Gillette Friday.

Lander Valley High School once again came in first.

The Powell High School boys’ swim team is raring to test its mettle against Wyoming’s best at the 3A state meet in Gillette today (Thursday) and Friday.

The Powell High School boys’ swim team took second, falling only to powerhouse Lander Valley High School, at the 3A conference in Lyman over the weekend.

The outlook for Buffalo Bill Reservoir is favorable for irrigation district needs this year, but the elevator that shuttles workers up and down the dam needs a lift.

Pedestrians slipping or tripping on icy sidewalks around town should know that snow removal responsibility lies with the property owner. The city of Powell will remove snow and ice on downtown sidewalks if it can, but street snow and ice removal takes precedence.
