The unidentified man whose dismembered body was found in Badger Basin west of Powell was shot several times before he died, according to investigators.

T.R “Quin” “Q” Quinlivan, U.S.A.F retired, formerly of Powell, died on Jan. 19, 2014, at the San Diego VA Health Care Center in California. His wife Sandi, best friend and companion of 31 1/2 years, was at his side. He was 71 years old.

Another win for JV girls basketball

A Class 4A opponent proved no problem for the Powell High School girls’ junior varsity basketball team.

A Cody man died late Friday afternoon near Farson and his passenger was seriously injured when the car he was driving was struck head-on by a pickup truck.

The investigation into a decapitated body found in Badger Basin west of Powell last week is “progressing,” according to the Park County Sheriff’s Office.
