A Washington woman hiking in the South Fork area had to be rescued by members of the Park County Search and Rescue Unit late Saturday night/early Sunday morning after she became stuck on a ledge.

An 18-year-old man suspected of killing two people and wounding another on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana was apprehended between Meeteetse and Burlington on Wednesday, authorities said.

BILLINGS (AP) — A couple and their daughter were gunned down when they stopped to help a man whose vehicle had run out of gas on the Crow Indian Reservation, a relative said.

FBI spokesman Todd Palmer confirms that two people were killed and a third wounded Wednesday morning in Pryor. He said a suspect was later arrested near Meeteetse.

Lola Phyllis Asay Cheatham, 79, died July 7, 2015, at the Powell Valley Care Center just six days after her husband, Dwain Smith Cheatham, passed away. A double funeral was held on July 8. 

Four people  two males and two females  died in a Saturday plane crash northwest of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir, the Park County Sheriff's Office announced Monday morning. There were no survivors.

A small twin-engine plane crashed about 10 miles northwest of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir early Saturday afternoon. The Park County Sheriff's Office said Sunday morning that it does not yet know how many people were aboard, but it appears no one survived. (Updated story available here.)

A 38-year-old Cody woman was killed in a one-vehicle wreck on Thursday night between Powell and Emblem.

The crash occurred at 11:50 p.m. at the intersection of Wyoming Highway 295 and Wyoming Highway 32, approximately 12 miles southeast of Powell.
