Bus' TCB continues to cruise in men's softball

Bus' TCB continued its strong run in Powell's city league softball tournament last week by claiming victories over Kobbe Construction and Fremont Motors. As a result of those decisions, Bus' TCB earned a spot in the championship matchup, which is scheduled for Tuesday (today) at Homesteader Park's Heart Mountain Field. That contest is slated for 7:45 p.m. Should TCB lose that contest, there will be an additional game played at 9 p.m. to determine the championship.Bus' TCB will face the winner of the game between Fremont Motors and My Auto, which also is scheduled for Tuesday (today) at 6:30 p.m.The following are results from tournament games played Tuesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 17:

• Game 13 — Thompson Funeral Home 17, Ben Middleton Construction 15: Thompson Funeral Home was led by Luke Pratt's four hits and four runs, and Dustin O'Brien finished with three hits and three runs.Ben Middleton Construction was led by Jimmy Weingartner's three hits and three runs. Chris Boswell and Billy Harshman also added three hits each.• Game 14 — Bus' TCB 23, Kobbe Construction 5: Adam Love paced the winning effort with four runs. Bus' TCB also got three runs each from Edgar Hernandez, Jeremy Love, Steve Mullen and Brent Silva.For Kobbe Construction, its upset bid was derailed after battling to a 2-2 tie after one inning of play. In the second inning, Bus' TCB outscored Kobbe Construction 16-2.• Game 15 — Northstate Chain Gang 15, Eagles 4: Jayme Brazelton had three hits, including a home run, and scored three runs, and Phill Sapp had two hits, including a homer, a scored three runs to help the Northstate Chain Gang to a one-sided victory.Dylan Bear led the Eagles with a home run.• Game 16 — Fremont Motors 20, My Auto 16: Bo Warner scored four runs, and Dusty Harvey, Cory Ostermiller and Todd Clouse scored three runs each for Fremont Motors.My Auto was paced by Trevor Gillett and J.W. Heny, who each scored three runs.• Game 17 — My Auto 13, Thompson Funeral Home 2: Fred Siebert led My Auto with three hits and three runs.Thompson Funeral Home, which had score 17 runs in its game earlier in the week, only managed two runs in the fourth inning.• Game 18 — Northstate Chain Gang 30, Kobbe Construction 20: Thomas Watts was among the leaders for Northstate Chain Gang with four hits and four runs. Three of his hits were triples.Kobbe Construction got four hits and four runs from Brian Foss. Also, Rob Feller finished with two hits, including a home run.• Game 19 — My Auto 12, Northstate Chain Gang 2: Kobbe Herd led the winning effort with three hits and three runs. J.W. Heny added two hits and scored two runs.Tyler Showalter led Northstate Chain Gang with two hits and one run. Matt Rice added one hit and one run.• Game 20 — Bus' TCB 24, Fremont Motors 6: H.R. Coe and Adam Love led the winning effort with four runs each.Fremont Motors was paced by Bo Warner and Dusty Harvey, who scored two runs each.
